Our First School!

Since we decided to stay an extra month at Abu and Abuela's house back in January, Matthew and Robert went to a Day Care called Baby Lion every day from 8am to 1pm. They surely loved every second of it, getting to the point that the first weekend after going to their "school" they dragged my mom's purse to the front door and cried there because they were ready to go! Abuela was the one in charge of taking them to the school, and picking them up, so lucky for me they did not associate their school with me at all... So no trouble once we got back home in the U.S.
While attending their school they had a birthday party for one of their little friends, and it was costume party! so Robert and Matthew got a change to wear their Halloween costumes one more time!

Nuestra Primera Escuela!

En vista de que decidimos quedarnos un mes extra en la casa de Abu y Abuela, Matthew y Robert fueron a una guardería llamada Baby Lion, ellos fueron todos los días de 8am a 1 p.m.
¡A mis peques les gusto mucho ir a su primera escuelita ya que cuando llego el fin de semana ellos arrastraron la cartera de mi mamá a la puerta principal y lloraron allí porque ellos estaban listos para ir! Abuela fue la encargada de llevarlos y recogerlos de su escuelita, así que afortunadamente para mi ellos no asociaron su escuela conmigo, de esa manera me evite el tener cualquier problema una vez que regresáramos a casa
¡Mientras asistieron a su escuelita ellos tuvieron una fiesta de cumpleaños de uno de sus compañeros, y fue fiesta de disfraces! Así que Robert y Matthew usaron nuevamente sus disfraces de Halloween! New Years At The Beach!

Our first trip to the beach as a family was wonderful! After a great Christmas in Quito, we went to Casablanca in Esmeraldas. Matthew and Robert loved going to beach everyday. Matthew just loved the ocean, he really enjoyed playing in it for long periods of time. Uncle Felipe took him to play in the water and long walks. Felipe enjoyed bragging about his nephews to everyone he knew at the beach. Robert on the other hand had a blast playing with the sand. Robert decided that on our last day he was going to try playing in the ocean, and he loved it!
The early walk to the beach with Abu, Abuela, the kiddos and myself was very relaxing. One morning Abu and Abuelo got the boys some coconuts so the boys can have a drink. It was certainly amazing to see how much they enjoyed themselves in every situation. Everything was so new to them. After our walk we would go back to the apartment and have breakfast, and then we would get ready to go back to the beach for play time. Mainly we went with Abu and Abuela, while the boys (Josh, Uncles Fernando, Felipe and Daniel) would go play golf and then they would catch up with us at the beach.
After a busy time at the beach we would come back to the apartment's swimming pool and swim some more. Matthew and Robert made so many friends, you all may thing this sounds a little funny, but the truth is they played with so many kids at the pool, and at the beach that every time we walked anywhere they all just kept on saying: "Hi Matthew, Hi Robert", it sure was fun to see them interacting with so many people and be popular little boys.

I do have to say that Josh and I were on Mom and Daddy duty while everyone else went out and party for New Years. Unfortunately for uncle Daniel he got sun sick and was not able to go with Fernando and Felipe to celebrate New Years. We did get to see some fireworks from our apartment.
Our family vacation was great. Thanks Pa and Ma for a wonderful gift!


Año Nuevo en La Playa!

¡Nuestro primer viaje familiar a la playa estuvo increible! Después de una hermosa Navidad en Quito nos fuimos a Casablanca en Esmeraldas. A Matthew y a Robert les encanto ir a la playa todos los dias. A Matthew le encantó jugar en el mar, especialmetne cuando su tío Felipe. Robert por otro lado era lo mas feliz de la vida jugando en la arena y muchas veces comiendola. A Robert el mar no le llamo tnato la atnecion el mar hasta el ultimo dia y el ultimo dia jugo tanto en el mar que el y Matthew no querian salir, pero empezo a llover y tuvimos que irnos al departamento.
Un par de mananas nos fuimos de caminata con Abu y Abuela, a los peques de verdad que les encanto la playa. Una mañana durante nuestra caminata Abu y Abuela compraron cocos y a los peques les encanto. Después de nuestras caminatas regresabamos al apartamento desayunabamos, y entonces nos preparabamos para volver a la playa y poder jugar. Por lo general ibamos a la playa con Abu y Abuela, mientras los chicos (Josh, los Tíos Fernando, Felipe y Daniel) ivan a jugar golf y despues nos alcanzaban en la playa. Después de jugar mucho y comr uno snacks en la playa nosotros regresabamos a la piscina del departamento a nadar por un momento antes de irnos a almorzar.
Fue una experiencia muy linda el ver a mis peque disfrutar de cada experiencia nueva. Matthew y Robert hicieron tantos a amigos, aunque parezca un poco gracioso, pero la verdad es que ellos jugaron con tantos niños en la piscina, y en la playa que cada vez que nos ivamos a caminar todos siempre les decian: "Hola Matthew, Hola Robert", seguro fue divertido verlos interactuando con tantas personas y son mis pequeños chicos populares
Por año nuevo Josh y yo estuvimos cumpliendo con nuestro deber de Mamá y Papá mientras el resto de la familia salio a celebrar después de nuestra cena y de ver los juegos pirotécnicos. Desafortunadamente para el tío Daniel él se enfermo y no pudo ir con Fernando y Felipe a celebrar el Año Nuevo. Nuestras vacaciones familiares estuvieron estupendas. ¡Gracias Pa y Ma por un regalo maravilloso!
