Christmas in Ecuador!

It has been a wonderful time for us. We were blessed to spend our Christmas time here in Quito at my parents’ house. Normally we would have a big Christmas dinner with all my family, but this year we kept it simple. It was just my parents, my brothers Fernando and Felipe, Josh's brother Daniel, and us.
Matthew and Robert had the time of their lives on Christmas day opening presents; they got so many fun gifts! But the best part for all of us was to watch them opening their presents. Fernando and Felipe gave them an amazing guitar that resembles one of their daddy's guitars and they loved it! They also got some fun movies from Uncle Daniel, and one of their favorite’s two cars from the movie cars from their Abu (that is what they call my dad) and from their Abuela. Some of their presents are still unopened at home, so they will get to see them once we get home.
We could not have asked for a better Christmas time!


Navidad en Ecuador!


Ha sido un tiempo maravilloso para nosotros. Fuimos muy bendecidos al poder pasar esta Navidad junto a nuestra familia aquí en Quito en casa de mis padres. Normalmente habríamos hecho una cena de Navidad grande con toda nuestra familia, pero este año tuvimos algo muy sencillo solo entre nosotros. Estuvimos mis padres, mis hermanos Fernando y Felipe, el hermano de Josh Daniel, y nosotros.
¡Matthew y Robert tuvieron se divirtieron a lo grande el día de Navidad abriendo sus regalos; ellos recibieron tantos regalos divertidos! Pero lo mejor para todos nosotros fue el mirarlos abriendo sus obsequios. ¡Fernando y Felipe les dieron una guitarra asombrosa que se parece a uno de las guitarras de su papá, y a ellos les encanto! Ellos también recibieron películas divertidas que les dio su tío Daniel, y dos carros que son sus favoritos de la película Cars, los cuales les dieron su Abu (así le dicen a mi pa), y de su Abuela.
¡Nosotros no podríamos haber pedido una mejor Navidad!

Just hanging out in Quito-Ecuador!

December has been a busy month for us. We have enjoyed spending time with our families. After the Baptism we went to different places here in Quito and the surroundings. We went to:
On Dec. 20th the same day of the Baptism we took the kids hiking in the morning. They had a great time walking around the forest.
On Dec. 21st we went to El Panecillo, a hill that overlooks the City, specially the Old Town or Downtown, this hill is topped by a huge aluminum Virgin (The Virgin of Quito), the kids also went swimming with Abu and Uncle Daniel. My little water boys love the water!
On Dec. 22nd we went to El Teleferico, this is a cableway that takes you from 9678 feet to 13,287 feet of altitude to the top of the Mountain. The view of the city is wonderful! Matthew and Robert seemed to enjoy our little trip up.
On Dec. 23rd we went to the Ciudad Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World City). The history behind this are is that the First Geodesic Mission arrived in Ecuador in 1736, with the purpose of scientifically verify the roundness of the Earth.
After their visit the territory surrounding Quito started being called ¨The Lands of the Equator¨ in reference to the parallel line that divides the planet in two hemispheres. This is a fun place to take your picture in both halves of the world.
We tried to do all this fun outings before Gammy went back to the States on the 24th. Here are some pictures.


Disfrutando de Quito- Ecuador


Diciembre ha sido un mes ocupado para nosotros. Hemos disfrutado el pasar tiempo junto a nuestras familias. Después del Bautizo de Matthew y Robert, fuimos a lugares diferentes aquí en Quito y sus alrededores.
Fuimos a:
En diciembre 20 el mismo día del Bautizo nosotros llevamos a los niños de excursión por la mañana. Ellos la pasaron de lo mejor caminando por el bosque. A ellos les encanta investigar todo y se divirtieron mucho jugando con la hojas, los palos y la tierra.
En diciembre 21 fuimos a El Panecillo, una colina donde la vista de la Ciudad es maravillosa, especialmente la parte Antigua de la ciudad o Centro. En la cima de esta colina hay una Virgen inmensa de aluminio (La Virgen de Quito).
En la mañana antes de ir de paseo Matthew y Robert nadaron con Abu y el Tío Daniel. ¡A mis peques les encanta el agua!
En diciembre 22 fuimos al Teleferico, este teleférico te lleva desde 2950 metros de altura a 4050 metros a la cima de la Montaña. ¡La vista de la ciudad es maravillosa! Matthew y Robert disfrutaron del pequeño viaje a la cima.
En diciembre 23 fuimos a la Ciudad Mitad Mundo. La historia detrás de esta ciudad es que la Primera Misión Geodésica llegó a Ecuador en 1736, con el propósito de verifica científicamente la redondez de la tierra. Después de esta visita el área comenzó a ser llamada ¨Las Tierras del Ecuador¨ con respecto a la línea paralela que divide el planeta en dos hemisferios. Este es un lugar divertido para tomarse fotos en ambos hemisferios a la vez.
Tratamos de hacer todas estas excursiones divertidas antes de que Gammy se regresara a los Estados Unidos el 24 de diciembre. Aquí están algunas imágenes.

Robert and Matthew's Baptism

On Saturday December 20th Matthew and Robert were baptized at the Sacred Family Catholic Church in Quito Ecuador. This is the same Church were Josh and I got married seven years ago.
We were very blessed to have most of our family members here. After a very nice ceremony we had a small gathering with our family (by small I mean about 45 people and this is just the very very close family, and not even all of them)
The Godparents were:
For Matthew: Uncle Felipe and Uncle Daniel
For Robert: Uncle Fernando and Uncle Jon (Who was unable to be here)
Matthew and Robert were very lucky... my Mom and Dad brought 21 years ago water from the Jordan River (where Jesus was Baptized himself) and that is what the priest used to Baptized them.
The kids look so cute in their white outfits! They looked like little angels.

El Bautizo de Robert y Matthew

El sábado 20 de diciembre Matthew y Robert fueron bautizados en la Iglesia Católica Sagrada Familia en Quito- Ecuador. Esta es la misma Iglesia donde Josh y yo nos casamos hace siete años.
Fuimos bendecidos al tener a la mayor parte de nuestras familias aquí. Después de que una ceremonia muy linda nosotros tuvimos una pequeña recepción en casa de mis padres a la cual atendieron nuestras familias (una pequeña recepción significo cerca de 45 personas y esto es solo de la familia muy cercana, y ni siquiera todos)
Los Padrinos fueron:
Para Matthew: El tío Felipe y el Tío Daniel
Para Robert: El tío Fernando y el Tío Jon (Que pudo no pudo estar aquí)
Matthew y Robert tuvieron mucha suerte... Mi Mamá y mi Papa trajeron hace 21 años agua del Río Jordán (donde Jesús Fue Bautizado) y esa fue el agua que el sacerdote utilizó para bautizarlos.
¡Los peques se veían tan lindos en sus trajes blancos, como unos angelitos!

Fall 2008

It has been a long time since my last blog... my computer crashed and I have finally brought it back to normal.
We have been very busy this fall. On October 11th we took the kids to the Denver Botanical Garden of Chatfield for our yearly pumpkin Patch adventure. This year it was very cold (44 degrees), rainy (therefore it was very muddy). Matthew and Robert had a great time. They both went to pick up their own little pumpkins, and made sure they rolled all the big ones.
The last week of October Josh had to go to Tulsa for a conference, so we decided to tag along and see our family and friends. We stayed at Jon and Courtney's house. We had a wonderful time, they sure made us feel welcome, and watching all three of the kiddos together was great!
While in Oklahoma we went to the pumpkin patch again with the other Hoffman clan, this pumpkin patch was different to the one we go to here in Colorado. There was a petting zoo, camel rides and lots of pumpkins. Matthew, Robert and Jordyn had a great time. We sure took lots of pictures.
For Halloween we dressed Matthew as a polar bear, Robert was a lion and Jordyn was Minnie Mouse (Courtney made her outfit, which turned out very cute).
We took the kids trick or treating around Jon and Courtney's house, and went to see her Grandparents. We sure took a lot of pictures, but as you can all imagine a group picture was very difficult.
It was definitely a very special Halloween. We sure loved seen our family and friends. We miss you all!!


Otoño 2008


Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde mi último blog... mi computadora se dañó y finalmente ha vuelto a la normalidad. Este otoño hemos estado muy ocupados en diferentes actividades.
El 11 de octubre nosotros llevamos a los peques al Jardín Botánico de Denver en Chatfield para nuestra aventura anual de recolección de calabazas. Este año el clima estuvo muy frío (-4 grados), lluvioso (por lo tanto fue lleno de lodo). Matthew y Robert se divirtieron mucho; los dos fueron a recoger sus propias calabazas pequeñas, y se rodaron todas las calabazas grandes a su paso.
La ultima semana de octubre Josh tuvo que ir a Tulsa para una conferencia, así que decidimos ir con el para ver a nuestra familia y amigos. Nos quedamos en casa de Jon y Courtney. ¡Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso, ellos nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. Lo mejor del viaje fue ver a los tres pequeños jugar juntos!
Durante nuestra visita en Oklahoma nosotros fuimos al recoger calabazas otra vez con el otro clan Hoffman, este parque de calabazas fue diferente al que nosotros vamos en Colorado. Había un mini zoológico, se podía cabalgar camellos y muchas calabazas. Matthew, Robert y Jordyn tuvieron un gran tiempo. Por Halloween Matthew se disfrazo como un oso polar, Robert fue un león y Jordyn fue Minnie Mouse(Courtney hizo su disfraz, que resultó muy lindo). Una vez listos llevamos a los 3 peques a visitar los alrededores de la casa de Jon y Courtney, y fuimos a ver a la Abuela de Courtney y a sus Tíos Abuelos. Intentamos tomar una foto en grupo, pero como pueden imaginarse no fue nada fácil. Los peques se divirtieron al igual que nosotros al verlos corretear por todas partes.
Fue definitivamente un Halloween muy especial! Nosotros disfrutamos de nuestra visita y de ver a nuestra familia y amigos. ¡Los extrañamos mucho a todos!!

A Fun Weekend At Winter Park!

On the weekend of October 3rd our friends, the Rae Family invited us to come along to Winter Park. We stayed the night in a log cabin where our little ones got to experience fire for the first time, as well as flashlights.
We got to the cabin around 9 pm and once we were all settled in the hubbies started the fire in the fireplace, then when we turned the lights off we gave each one of the kids a flashlight. They had so much fun! So finally we all went to bed at midnight.
Unfortunately nothing was open in town, but we still did some exploring and looking around and enjoying how beautiful the mountains looked with the tree leaves changing colors.
While exploring Robert found a big stick, and played with it for a long time, while Matthew played with rocks.
It was a good trip, the kids loved to run around and discover new things, we really enjoyed our family time, as well as the company of our very good friends.

Time to Explore!

On October 7th a couple friends of mine and our kiddos went to the Children's Museum in Denver. Matthew and Robert had so much fun exploring and playing all over the place.. I can't say the same about me, yes it was a lot of fun to see them check things out. But they did not wanted to be in the same place at the same time, making me very nervous, and having to run back and forth so I could keep an eye on both of them.
They were able to explore a small village, the building area, the "locker room"; they even got to wear cusotmes. Matthew was a rabbit, and Robert was a squirrel.
I believe Matthew's favortie thing was the door stopers in one of the main rooms... and Robert loved to get "under the earth" like a worm in the forest room.
It was a great experince.
On October 15th we took the kiddos to this place called Monkey Bizness, which is an indoor playground, just like this place says "Where kids monkey aroung". Matthew and Robert were running all over the place, they were so excited going on the big slides and climing over evert=ything they could. It was for sure two hours of fun. This is a great place for the kids to use some of their endless energy! Surely they were not the only ones that were very tired.





Tiempo de Explorar!

El 7 de octubre unas amigas mías y nuestros niños fuimos al Museo de los Niños en Denver. Matthew y Robert se divirtieron mucho al explorar y jugar por todas partes del lugar.. Yo no puedo decir lo mismo acerca de mí... Sí, fue muy lindo verlos jugar y explorar pero a la vez ellos no querían estar en el mismo lugar al mismo tiempo, lo que me ponía muy nerviosa y tuve que estar de un lado para otro para poder cuidar de ambos. Ellos pudieron explorar una pequeña aldea, el área de manualidades, el "los lockers"; y además se pusieron disfraces para jugar en el área del bosque. Matthew fue un conejo, y Robert una ardilla.
Creo que la parte favorita de Matthew fue el para puertas en uno de los salones principales... y a Robert le encantó meterse "bajo la tierra" como un gusano en el cuarto de bosque. Fue una gran experiencia.
El 15 de octubre nosotros llevamos a los peques a un lugar llamado Monkeyes Bizness, que es como un parque cubierto, como este lugar dice "Donde los pequeños monos pueden jugar". Matthew y Robert corrieron por todas partes del lugar, ellos estaban muy emocionados jugando en las resbaladeras y subiéndose a todo lo que pudieran. Fueron dos horas de diversión. ¡Este es un gran lugar para que los niños de utilicen su energía interminable! Seguro ellos no fueron los únicos cansados al final de nuestra excursión.

Our Little Babies are Now Little Boys!

It is amazing to see how fast Matthew and Robert are growing. Every milestone is a joyful and exciting event, but it also means my babies are no longer babies... They are little boys. It has been over a month (almost 2) since Matthew used a pacifier... We thought it was going to be very hard to get him to stop using them, but the day after we came back from our Tulsa trip (August 31st) was his last pacifier day. We stopped it cold turkey, and the best part of it was that he did not seem to care at all! Also as of September 4th, no more bottles, only sippy cups. At the moment they are more active than ever, running and playing at all times, they like to blow kisses and wave good bye.
They are also playing with cars and the funny thing is that they are making car like noises. On September 27th we had a finger paint session. We put a blanket in our garage and strip the boys down to their diapers. They had fun, but in the end it was much more interesting for them to check out everything in our garage. On September 30th I took Matthew and Robert to the park to run with their new shoes that Uncle Felipe had gotten them when they were born. While running around the park, they discover their shadows. It was very funny to watch. Matthew acted like something was following him and kept checking on his shadow. Robert tried to touch his shadow. They also discover mud... (lucky me)
On October 11th Robert and Matthew had their first cheese sandwiches and they loved them! It was a cold day, so soups and warm cheese sandwiches sounded good. We are so thankful to God for our beautiful, healthy boys.





Nuestros Pequeños Bebes son Ahora Pequeños Niños!

Es increíble ver a lo rápido que Matthew y Robert están creciendo, cada nuevo logro es un acontecimiento alegre y emocionante, pero también significa que mis bebés ya no son bebés ... Pero niños pequeños. Ha pasado mas de un mes desde que Matthew uso su chupón... Pensamos que iba a ser muy difícil conseguir que dejara de usarlo, pero el día después de que regresáramos de nuestro viaje de Tulsa (31 de agosto) fue su último día de chupón. Nosotros le quitamos el chupón de una, y para nuestra sorpresa a el no le importo tanto como esperábamos. También al 4 de septiembre fue el día en el que decidimos que no mas biberones, sólo sus vasos con tapas. Actualmente ellos están más activos que nunca, corriendo y jugando siempre, ellos mandan besos volados y mueven sus manitos al despedirse.
Ellos también juegan con carros y lo mas gracioso es que ellos hacen ruidos de carros. El 27 de Septiembre tuvimos nuestra primera sesion de pintar con los dedos. Lo que hicimos fue poner una cobija en el garage y dejar a los peques solo en sus panales. Ellos se divirtieron mucho, pero yo creo que al final fue mucho mas entretenido para ellos el revisar todo en el garage.
El 30 de septiembre yo llevé a Matthew y a Robert al parque para correr con sus zapatos nuevos que Tío Felipe les dio cuando nacieron. Al corretear por todas partes ellos descubrieron sus sombras, fueron muy graciosos. Matthew actuó como que algo lo seguía, así que de rato en rato chequeaba su sombra, y Robert trataba de tocarla. Ellos también descubren el lodo... y sus zapatos quedaron muy sucios.
El 11 de Octubre un dia muy frio, por lo que hicimos sanduches calientes de queso y sopa. Por primera vez mis peques probaron sanduches y les encanto! Estamos tan agradecidos a Dios por nuestros hermosos y sanos pequeños.

Our Trip to Tulsa

During the last week of August Josh had to work from home due to the Democratic National Convention, so he was able to work from Tulsa! I have to say that while the kiddos and myself where out having fun seeing our family and friends.. Daddy spent a lot of his time at his mom's computer room talking to customers and working.
It was definitely great to see everyone, it is crazy to believe that it has been nine months since our last visit to Oklahoma.
We had a great family day. We all went to eat lunch, and afterwards we went to the pool. It was very relaxing, and the three kiddos had so much fun.
It is interesting to see all three of them together, the way they play is very different, my boys play a little rough, while Jordyn is so delicate. I sure look forward to see how they will interact in Thanksgiving.
We sure enjoyed staying at Gammy's house, and Matthew and Robert loved to explore her home, specially being spoiled by their Gammy.
Before we came back to Denver, over the weekend we went swimming with some of our very close friends.
It was a great trip!



Nuestro Viaje a Tulsa


Durante la ultima semana de agosto Josh tuvo que trabajar desde casa debido a la Convención Nacional Demócrata, así que él pudo trabajar desde Tulsa! Tengo que decir que mientras los niños y yo nos divertimos y vimos a nuestra familia y amigos, Josh pasó mucho tiempo en la compu trabajando y hablando con sus clientes. Fue bueno ver todos, es increible pensar que han sido nueve meses desde nuestra última visita a Oklahoma.
Tuvimos un día familiar donde todos fuimos a almorzar, y después fuimos a nadar. Fue muy relajante y los tres peques disfrutaron mucho.
Es interesante ver a los tres juntos, la manera que todos juegan es muy diferentes, mis peques juegan un poco mas alocadamente, mientras Jordyn es muy delicada.
Nosotros disfrutamos de quedarnos en casa de Gammy, y Matthew y Robert estaban muy felices explorando su casa.
Antes de regresar a Denver el fin de semana nosotros fuimos a nadar con algunos de nuestros amigos.

¡Fue un gran viaje!

Our First Train Ride and Aquarium Visit!

We have been busy little bees this summer. On August 13th while Uncle Daniel was still in town, we rode the light rail train to downtown to have lunch with Daddy. Once downtown we all went to this restaurant called Tamayo... The food was great! Matthew and Robert even ate some of our food... While Josh went back to work, we took a walk and checked out the 16th Street Mall. Then we took the train back home. The next day we decided to take it easy... We stayed home and went swimming at our community pool. Since school had already started, we had the pool all to ourselves. The following week on the 21st, a friend of ours and myself took the little ones to the Denver Aquarium. It was a different experience. The kids did not know how to react to being surrounded by fish, at times they were pretty happy, but every once in a while they reacted with a nervous laugh. We had lunch at the restaurant at the Aquarium and had a chance to keep on looking at the fish. I believe the best part of the outing for the kiddos was the bubbles outside the Aquarium.
Robert and Matthew got the Little Einstains Rocket ride ons, and they love them! Here is a video of them playing.



El Primer Paseo en Tren, y Nuestra Visita al Acuario!

Hemos estado ocupados este verano en diferentes actividades. El 13 de agosto mientras el Tío Daniel aun estaba aquí, nosotros fuimos en tren al centro de la ciudad para almorzar con Daddy. Una vez que llegamos al centro fuimos a un restaurante llamado Tamayo... ¡La comida excelente! Matthew y Robert comieron algo de nuestra comida a pesar de que ellos acababan de comer la suya... Josh volvió al trabajo, y nosotros tomamos una caminata por el Mall de la calle 16. Entonces tomamos el tren de regreso a casa. Al día siguiente nosotros decidimos tener un día mas relajado, así que nos quedamos en casa y fuimos a nadar en la piscina de nuestra urbanización. Como las clases ya habían empezado tuvimos la piscina solo para nosotros.
La semana siguiente el 21, una amiga nuestra y yo llevamos a su pequeña y a los míos al Acuario de Denver. Fue una experiencia diferente. Los peques no supieron cómo reaccionar al verse rodeados por peces, a veces ellos estaban bastante felices, pero de vez en cuando ellos reaccionaron con una risa nerviosa. Almorzamos en el restaurante del Acuario y tuvimos una oportunidad mas de poder mirar a los peces. Creo que lo mejor de la excursión para los peques fueron las burbujas fuera del Acuario.

Enjoying Our Summer

It has been a fun summer for us. On July 30th we went to the Denver Zoo with some friends of ours and it was very interesting to see the different reaction that the boys had to the animals compared to the first time back in March. While visiting the Zoo, Matthew and Robert tried Dippin Dots for the first time... They loved it!
We have been also spending some fun time swimming and hanging out. Matthew and Robert love the pool. It is very hard sometimes to get them out of it, It is fun to watch their smiles and their splashing around... It is priceless. Time is going by so fast...
Uncle Daniel is here visiting us for the week. We are so happy to see him! It's hard to believe it has been 8 months since last time we saw him. Today we decided to have a picnic at the park. Matthew and Robert did great! They certainly enjoyed themselves playing in the swings and walking around all over the place. At first they were not so sure about walking by themselves on the grass, so we were walking with them on the baseball field. Eventually they decided to venture on their own over the grass. Matthew decided to sit and play with the sand, of course, he had to eat some of it too... I guess it is part of growing up.

Disfrutando Nuestro Verano

Ha sido un verano muy divertido para nosotros. El 30 de julio fuimos al Zoológico de Denver con algunos amigos, fue muy interesante ver la reacción diferente que los peques tuvieron al ver los animales comparado a la primera vez que fuimos en marzo. Durante nuestra visita al zoológico Matthew y Robert probaron por primera vez Dippin Dots por primera vez(que es un helado que viene en unas bolitas diminutas, algo muy diferente) A Matthew y Robert les encanto!
Nosotros también hemos estado pasando mucho tiempo en la piscina, ya que a mis dos pequeños seres acuáticos les gusta mucho el salpicar y jugar en el agua. Muchas veces es muy difícil cuando llega la hora de sacarlos para ir a la casa... Me encata ver sus sonrisas mientras juegan, y aprenden cosas nuevas... y al mirarlos disfrutar de todas esta actividades me doy cuenta de lo rápido que ha pasado el tiempo...
El tío Daniel esta aquí visitándonos por esta semana, nosotros estamos muy felices de verlo y no podemos creer que hayan pasado ya 8 meses desde la ultima vez que lo vimos. Hoy decidimos ir de picnic al parque. Matthew y Robert se portaron de maravilla! y ellos ciertamente disfrutaron de jugar en los columpios, caminando por todas partes el lugar. En un principio ellos no estaban muy seguros acerca de caminar solos en el césped, así que fuimos a caminar en el campo de béisbol donde finalmente ellos decidieron aventurarse por su cuenta al césped, Matthew decidió sentarse y jugar con la arena, por supuesto, él tuvo que hacer una probadita... Espero que disfruten de las fotos al igual que de los videos que tomamos hoy en el campo de béisbol

Our First Family Vacation

We just spent a great time on our first family trip!! It all happened very fast. Josh had to go on a business trip on the 22nd of July... again... and asked us to come along so we could be together... So we all packed up and went with Josh to Cody, WY. While he was working the kids and I went on walks. One day we went to the local park and after Daddy was done with work we went to the Buffalo Bill Museum, which was very interesting. The kids behaved for the most part, but they did get to a point where they had enough...
On our way to Cody, we drove by the Bighorn Mountain. The scenery was beautiful. On our way back we went to Yellowstone National Park, the Tetons, and Jackson Hole!!
Matthew and Robert were so good!! We pretty much spent most of our time in the car driving from one place to another, and they did great. We got to see how a buffalo tried to go after a guy on a motorcycle, some moose, lots of buffalo, and unfortunately no bears... maybe next time.
While in Yellowstone, we saw Yellowstone Lake, the Lower Falls, some Geysers, but mainly we got to see Old Faithful!
One of Josh's friend/co-worker also brought his family along, which made the trip very interesting. Todd and his wife Betsy have two little kids who are 3 years old, and 18 months, so we were all in the same boat. While we were at the Grand Teton National Park at Jenny Lake, the water was just beautiful! You could clearly see thought it. We let the kids play on the shore have to say the water was very very cold. Matthew did not want anything to do with it and decided he would much rather sit next to Daddy on dry ground and watch the other kids play in the lake. Robert on the other had had a blast splashing freezing water and getting soaked in it. Chaise and Blaze (our friends' kids)were pretty much were all in, it was sure fun!
We also enjoyed strolling around Jackson Hole. Matthew and Robert were very intrigued and they seemed very curious of their new surroundings.
We definitely look forward to doing this trip again once the kids are a little older so they can enjoy more of it.

Nuestro Primer Viaje Familiar!

¡Acabamos de regresar de nuestro primer viaje familiar!! Todo sucedió muy rápido, Josh tuvo que ir a un viaje de negocios... otra vez... y nos pidió que fuesemos con el para asi poder estar juntos... asi que empacamos y nos fuimos con Josh a Cody, WY. Mientras él trabajaba los peques y yo nos fuimos de caminatas, un día fuimos al parque local, y después de que Daddy termino con su trabajo del dia nosotros fuimos al Museo de Búfalo Bill, el cuál fue muy interesante, los niños se comportan bastante bien la mayor parte del tiempo, pero ellos llegaron a un punto donde tuvieron suficiente...
En nuestro viaje a Cody, nosotros condujimos por las Montañas de Bighorn, el paisaje fue hermoso; y en nuestro viaje de regreso fuimos al Parque Nacional de Yellowstone, al Tetons, y a Jackson Hole!!
Matthew y Robert se portaton increible durante todo el viaje, ya que la mayor parte del tiempo nos la pasamos en el auto yendo de un lugar a otro. En nuestro viaje vimos a un búfalo tratando de perseguir a un chico en una motocicleta, algunos alces, muchos búfalos, desafortunadamente no osos... a lo mejor en nuestro próximo viaje.
Mientras visitabamos Yellowstone nosotros vimos el Lago de Yellowstone, las Caídas Bajas (Lower Falls), algunos Geiseres, pero principalmente vimos a Old Faithful!
Uno de los amigos de Josh también llevo a su familia, lo que hizo el viaje muy interesante. Tod y su esposa Betsy tienen dos niños pequeños que tienen 3 anos y 18 meses.
Mientras estuvimos en el Parque Nacional Teton fuimos al lago Jenny donde el agua es lo mas transparente que uno pueda imaginarse, totalmente hermoso! Decidimos permitir que los peques jueguen a orillas del lago; yo tengo que decir que el agua era muy muy fría y Matthew no quiso jugar en el lago asi que se fue a sentar con su Daddy en la Plataforma del lago y mirar a los otros niños juegar.
¡Por otro lado Robert estaba hecho una sola fiesta disfrutando y salpicando el agua congelada, el termono totalmente empapado, asi que tan pronto termino de jugar nos fuimos al auto para poder cambiarlo de ropa.
Nosotros también disfrutamos de pasear en Jackson Hole, Matthew y Robert estaban intrigados y ellos se veian muy curiosos de sus nuevos alrededores.
Definitivamente queremos volver hacer este viaje cuando los peques esten mas grande para que ellos puedan disfrutar mas de todas las diferentes actividades.

Our 4th of July Weekend and More...

We just got home and we are certainly ready to show Daddy all our new tricks. (Matthew and Robert like to push the stroller...) It can get a little tricky since Matthew likes to push it while walking very fast, and Robert likes to take his time...
Our 4Th of July weekend was great. We took the kids swimming at the club on Thursday, and on the 4Th we stayed at home to go to a block party which was a lot of fun. We put the kids’ inflatable pool out and they sure had a blast. Our little ones love to be in the water, especially Robert. It makes no difference what the temperature is or the place or the time.

The rest of the month we have been hanging out and going to the pool a lot by ourselves and with our friends.

Nuestro Fin de Semana del 4 de Julio y más...

Acabamos de llega a casa y estamos ciertamente listos para mostrar a Daddy todas nuestras nuevos trucos, uno de ellos que Matthew y Robert quieren empujar el coche... que puede ser un poco complicado ya que Matthew quiere empujarlo a un andar muy rápido, y Robert quiere tomar su tiempo... Nuestro fin de semana del 4 de julio fue empezo cuando llevamos a los peques al club el jueves, y en el 4 nosotros nos quedamos en casa en una fiesta de la cuadra y alos peques les pusimos en su piscina inflable donde se divirtieron mucho. A nuestros pequeños les encanta estar en el agua, especialmente Robert a quien le da igual la temperatura, el lugar o el tiempo. Aquí está un video de los niños empujando su coche alrededor de la piscina, y también algunas imágenes tomadas el 4. El resto del mes nosotros hemos estado yendo a la piscina mucho solo nosotros y con nuestros amigos.

Boys Will Be Boys

It has been a long time since we updated our blog, but hopefully I will update our blog soon.
Here is a video of the boys during our last weekend in Ecuador. We went to a place called Hacienda Rumiloma which is situated in nearly one hundred acres of primary Andean forest on the side of the Volcano Pichincha. While we were having lunch we handed each of the boys a spoon and at first they were just hitting it against their high chairs, but it did not take long before they started using the spoons as swords! We have no idea were they got the idea, but it was certainly very cute.

Los Niños Serán Niños!

Ha sido mucho tiempo desde que actualizamos nuestro blog, pero muy pronto actualizaré nuestro blog. Aquí están un video los peques durante nuestro último fin de semana en Ecuador. Fuimos a un lugar llamado Hacienda Rumiloma que es situado en cien acres de bosque andino primario en el lado del Volcán Pichincha. Mientras almorzabamos les dimos a cada uno de los chicos una cuchara y al principio ellos las golpeaban contra sus mesas, pero no tomó mucho tiempo antes de que ellos comenzaran a utilizarlas como espadas! Nosotros no tenemos la menor idea donde aprendieron esto, pero fue muy lindo verlos.

Matthew and Robert are Walking!

Yes! both of the boys started walking on June 7th, just a few days after their first birthday. We were in Ecuador for the last month, and while visiting my Aunt MariCarmen and her family, the kiddos took their first steps! Ever since then, they are just getting braver by the day. Matthew seems a little more confident with his walking, so we need to really watch out with him since he will get himself up and come to us without any warning at all!
My youngest brother Felipe came to Ecuador for one week just to have a chance to spend some time with the kids. We had a good time with him, but his visit was too short. Abuelo, Abuela and Uncle Fernando sure spoiled the kids the whole time. I know it has been a week of adjustment for the three of us and it sure is nice to be home, but it is easy to see that the kids look for all three of them. It was very cute to watch the faces of excitement in the boys faces when they saw their Daddy after a long month. We really missed him. At times the kids would pick up their play phones or even the real ones and pretend to dial numbers to end up saying Daddy!Robert even said ones Daddy hurry up! (it was in Spanish: Daddy apurate!) I have no idea what his Daddy needed to hurry up to, but we missed him a lot.
We really enjoyed our trip, and especially seeing our family and friends. While in Ecuador we had a big family lunch in honor of my Grandma "Mamina". There were at least 50 of us there. It was Grnadma, her children (my mon and siblings), my cousins, and all of our kids (for the ones we have them.) We also had a lunch at my parent's house with both of my Grandmothers.
This year marks ten years since my high school graduation. So we had a little get together with some friends. Unfortunately for me the reunion will be in July. It was sure nice to see everyone and catch up. We are really looking forward to December when we will see them all again. We already miss you all!!
As of June 23rd Matthew weighed 24.14 lbs, and Robert 23.4 lbs; they both are 30" tall. Robert has now his two bottom, and the two upper teeth out, while Matthew shows no signs of any more teeth besides his bottom ones.

Here is a video of the kids playing in the inflatable pool my mom got them. We decided to make a picnic out of it, so we were feding the kids while they were playing. Poor Matthew he did not liked the cold water, while Robert was having a blast.




Matthew y Robert están Caminando!!

Sí! Mis dos pequeños empezaron a caminar el 7 de junio, justo unos pocos días después de su primer cumpleaños. Estuvimos en Ecuador todo el mes de junio, y cuando visitábamos a mi tía MariCarmen y a su familia los niños dieron sus primeros pasos!. Poco a poco ellos se están sintiendo mas seguros al caminar. ¡Matthew parece un poco más seguro con su andar, así que necesitamos estar totalmente atentos a todo momento ya que el rato menos pensado se levanta y viene caminando hacia nosotros sin ningún aviso!
Mientras visitábamos a Abuelo, Abuela y Tío Fernando mi hermano Felipe vino a Ecuador por una semana para tener también la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con los peques y que podamos celebrar el día del padre juntos. Nosotros nos divertimos con él, pero su visita fue demasiado corta. Abuelo, Abuela y el Tío Fernando mimaron y consintieron a los niños todo el tiempo. Desde que regresamos ha sido una semana de ajuste para nosotros tres, es bueno estar de regreso en casa, y Matthew y Robert estaban tan felices de ver a su papa en el aeropuerto, pero se nota que ellos buscan a su Abu o Aba (Abuelo), Abuela y al Tío Fernando.
Disfrutamos realmente de nuestro viaje viendo especialmente a nuestra familia y a amigos. Mientras estábamos en Ecuador nosotros tuvimos un almuerzo familiar grande en honor a mi Abuelita Mamina. Nosotros también tuvimos un almuerzo especial en casa de mis padres con ambas de mis Abuelitas.
Este año son diez años desde mi graduación del colegio. Así que tuvimos una pequeña reunión con algunos amigos, desafortunadamente para mí la reunión oficial será en julio; fue muy bueno ver a todos, y saber que ha sido de las vidas de cada uno desde que nos graduamos.
Esperamos realmente que llegue diciembre cuando nosotros veremos a nuestra familia y amigos otra vez. ¡Nosotros los extrañamos mucho!!
EL 23 de junio Matthew pesó 24,14 lbs, y Robert 23,4 lbs; los dos miden 77 cm de altura. Robert tiene ahora su dos dientes inferior, y los dos dientes superiores, mientras Matthew solo tiene sus dos dienes inferiores.

Matthew and Robert Turned 1!

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by. Our little babies turned 1 on May 24th Abuelo, Abuela, and Gammy came over to help us celebrate. We had a party for the boys, and they both enjoyed every second of it. We thought the kids were going to dive into their cakes, but believe it or not they were actually pretty good. Matthew even needed a spoon so he could eat his cake. Robert, on the other hand had cake all over his face (not as bad as it sounds) and managed to get some under his armpits. We had a great time! We thank God for our healthy & happy babies.

Matthew and Robert are not walking yet. They are both able to stand on their own, and Robert actually stands on his own for long periods of time,claps, and stands on his tippie-toes all by himself. Both have had literally one step on their own, and after that they just throw themselves to whoever they are trying to get to. They both made it to their first birthday only with their bottom two teeth. Hopefully they will get some more teeth soon.

Matthew y Robert Cumplieron 1 Año!

Es difícil creer que un año ha pasado desde que recibimos en este mundo a nuestros peques. Nuestros bebés han cumplido 1 año el 24 de Mayo. Abuelo, abuela, y Gammy vinieron para ayudarnos a celebrar. Tuvimos una fiesta para los chicos, y ambos gozaron cada segundo de ella. Pensamos que los chicos se iban a sumergir en sus pasteles, pero creanlo o no se comportaron de lo mas tranquilos. Matthew incluso necesitaba una cuchara para comer su torta. Robert, por otro lado tenía torta en todo su rostro y logró poner pastel debajo de sus axilas. Nos divertimos mucho! Nosotros damos gracias a Dios por nuestros sanos & felices bebés.

Matthew y Robert no están caminando todavía. Ambos son capaces de pararse por si solos. Robert se puede quedar parado por largos períodos de tiempo, aplaud, y hasta se pone de puntillas por si mismo. Ambos han dado literalmente un paso, y después se lanzan a donde quienquiera que están tratando de llegar. Ambos tuvieron para su primer cumpleaños sólo los dos dientes de abajo. Esperamos que pronto les salgan más dientes.

A Few Firsts...

During the past month there have been a few firsts for our little ones. Uncle Jon, Aunt Courtney and little Jordyn came to visit us the last weekend of March. We decided to take the kids on their first Zoo trip! We were lucky enough to have a warm day, and it sure was fun! The most exciting thing that Matthew and Robert saw was a goose! (all of the World’s animals, and they laugh and grin ear to ear when they see and hear a goose) We had a very good time and it was fun to watch all the kids together.
The following weekend our very close friends Josh and Jennifer came! We took the kids on their first mountain trip, and it was beautiful! We had lunch in a town called Georgetown. The trip was so much fun but unfortunately the kids were showing signs of being a little sick and sure enough they had a virus for which the doctors are unable to give any medicine. We just had to wait for it to run its course.
Once a week went by and the kiddos did not seem much better, we took them back to the doctor and find out they had their first ear infections! The doctor said that it was very good to go 10-1/2 months without having one. Matthew and Robert are doing great now!!
The weekend of the 17th of April we went to Casper, WY for the first time since we moved to Colorado. We went to celebrate Avery's 2nd B-day! We sure had a great time and it was really good to see our friends there.
On April 24th (the day the kiddos turned 11 months) we took them to their first Cubs game! Robert and Matthew were intrigued and looking around at all of the people, the lights, and especially experiencing all the noise. Robert did not like all of the loud noise, and Matthew would jump and look around nervously. We all had a good time, but unfortunately the Cubs lost 4 to 2 to the Colorado Rockies. (best way to break in these young "Cub fans" is with heartbreak.) This day was also take your kid to work day so after the game we went to Josh's office. So officially they have had their first day at work with Daddy!

Algunas Primeras Veces...

Durante el mes pasado ha habido alguns "primeras veces" para nuestros pequeños. El tío Jon, la tía Courtney y Jordyn vinieron a visitarnos el último fin de semana de marzo. Decidimos llevar a los niños a su primer paseo al Zoologico! Fuimos afortunados de tener un día abigado, y seguro fue divertido! ¡La cosa más emocionante que Matthew y Robert vieron fue un ganso! (Los animales de todo el mundo, pero ellos se reían de oreja a oreja cuando ellos vieron y oyeron un ganso) Nosotros lo pasamos muy bien y fuimos divertido verjuntos a los tres peques.
El siguiente fin de semana nuestros Josh y Jennifer vinieron visitanos. Decidimos ir en el primer viaje a las montañas, estuvo hermoso! Almorzamos en un pueblo llamado Georgetown. El paseo estuvo de lo mejor; desafortunadamente los niños mostraban signos de estar un poco enfermitos, y rsulta que ellos tuvieron un virus para el cual los médicos no podian darles nada, sino esperar que el virus correr su curso.
Un semana mas tarde los peques aun no se sentian muy bien asi que decidimos llevarlos al médico; donde descubrimos que ellos tenian sus primeras infecciones de oido! Mtthew y Robert estan sanos y sin ninguna novedad.
El fin de semana del 17 de abril nosotros fuimos a Casper, WY por primera vez desde que nos mudamos a Colorado. Fuimos a celebrar el cumpleaños de Avery! Fue un viaje muy corto. pero lapsmos bien y fue bueno ver a nuestros amigos allí.
El 24 de abril (el día que los peques cumplieron 11 meses) nosotros los llevamos a su primer juego de los Cub!(Baseball profesional, este es e equio favorito de Josh) Robert y Matthew estaban muy intrigados mirando a su alrededor a todas las personas, las luces, y especialmente todo el ruido. A Robert no le causo mucha graci todo el ruido fuerte, mientras que Matthew saltaba del susto a veces y miraba a su alrededor y seguia jugando. Todos nos divertimos mucho, pero desafortunadamente los Cubs perdieron 4 a 2 contra los Clorado Rockies. (Segun Josh la mejor forma par ue aprendana ser fanes de los Cubs, aprender que un fan en las buenas y en las malas).
Este día fue también "lleva a tu hijo a trabajar", asi que después de el juego fuimos a la oficina de Josh. ¡Así que oficalmete ellos han tenido su primer día en el trabajo con Papá!

Matthew's First Teeth!!

Finally!! Matthew is not only getting one tooth, but both of his bottom teeth are coming through at the same time! He is handling it pretty good, but every once in a while he gets a little fussy. We feel so bad for him, because one tooth is probably bad, but two at the same time? We notice his little teeth peeking out on April 15th! So our little toothless baby is no longer toothless, and he will have some teeth for his first birthday!

Los Primeros Dientes de Matthew!!

¡Finalmente!! ¡A Matthew no sólo le esta saliendo un diente, sino los dos dientes inferiores! El no parece tener mayores molestias, pero de vez en cuando si se le nota que no se siente un poco fastidiado. Nosotros nos sentimos mal por él, porque un diente es probablemente doloroso y molestoso, pero dos al mismo tiempo? Nos dimos cuenta que dos pequenas puntintas de dientes se asomaron el 15 de abril! ¡Así que nuestro bebé chimuelo ya no es chimuelo, y él tendrá dientes para su primer cumpleaños!

Remembering a Very Special Person

The 22nd of April marked the first anniversary of Bob passing. It is very hard to believe that a year has passed. This last year has been a very extreme year for the Hoffman Family. We lost a very important person, and were also blessed with three healthy babies. It has been a mixture of both sadness and elation. We all sure miss Bobeveryday, and wish he was still here with us. Bob was the kind of person that believe in enjoying life to its fullest, and making the most of every situation, so we know that he is smiling at all of us from heaven and watching us while we learn to be the best parents we can be.


Recordando a una Persona muy Especial

El 22 de abril marcó el primer aniversario de la muerte de Bob. Es muy duro creer que un año ha pasado. Este ha sido el año muy extremo para la Familia Hoffman. Perdimos una a persona muy importante en nuestras vidas, y también fuimos bendecidos con tres bebés sanos. Ha sido una mezcla de tristeza como de alegria. Todos nosotros deseamos que Bob este todavía aquí con nosotros. Bob fue la clase de persona que creia en disfrutar de la vida cada dia; sabemos que él sonríe esde el cielo y nos mira mientras aprendemos a ser los mejores padres que podemos ser. Lo extranamos mucho y no hay un dia que no pensemos en el.

Robert's First Tooth!!!

Finally a tooth!! Robert's first tooth came out last Tuesday the 11th, and a second one is on its way! We are so excited! We really have to watch it with him because he will grab our hands, fingers, and if we are not paying attention he will put them in his mouth and bite us with that one tinny tinny little sharp tooth! (It kind of hurts). Matthew on the other hand has no signs of any teeth yet.
Both of the kids are doing great, we went to a late nine month appointment for vaccinations on Monday the 17th. Matthew weighed 23.2 lbs and he was 29.5" long; Robert weighed 21.5 lbs and he was 29-3/4" long. Their doctor says they are ready for 3 solid meals a day... Our little babies are getting big!
The weather here changes constantly. We did have a few nice days, so we took the kids for a walk in the stroller when Daddy got home from work. They really enjoyed going out and checking things out.
Josh and I went to Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood concert on the 9th. We decided to get a babysitter, and take the night off. We did not get home until a little past midnight... We had a hard time getting up the next morning especially since the kids decided to have a tough night, but overall it was worth it, we had a great time.










El Primer Diente de Robert!




¡Finalmente un diente!! ¡El primer diente de Robert salió el pasado martes! Nosotros estamos muy emocionados, y arece que un segundo está en camino! Tenemos que tener cuidado con él porque el momento menos pesado nos coge las manos y los dedos y nos muerde... con su diente pequeño, y muy filudo! (Y si que duele). Matthew por otro lado no tiene ni senales de ningún diente todavía.
El lunes 17 lleve a los peques a sus vacunas de los nueve meses (unas 3 semanas tarde...) Matthew pesó 23,2 lbs y 29,5" de largo; Robert pesó 21,5 lbs y 29-3/4" de largo. Los dos estan muy bien y creciendo sanos gracias a Dios; su médico dice que ellos están listos para 3 comidas solidas al día... nuestros pequeños bebés se estan haciendo grandes! El clima aquí cambia constantemente, tuvimos unos pocos días de clima agradable, así que fuimos con los niños a unas caminatas en el cochecito de ellos una vez que Papá llegó a casa del trabajo, Matthew y Robert gozaron realmente de salir y mirar las cosas fuera de casa.
Josh y yo finalmente salimons en una cita... fuimos al concierto de Keith Urban y Carrie Underwood el 9 de marzo, nosotros nos la pasamos de lo mejor, nosotros decidimos contratar a una ninera y tener la noche para nosotros. Llegamos a casa a un poco mas de la medianoche... valio la pena, pero eso si al dia siguiente... tuvimos problemas para levantándonos la próxima mañana especialmente porque los peques decidieron dar mala noche a duo!... de todas formas valio la pena.

Back at Home!!

It has definitely been a busy year so far. We got back from Ecuador on Feb 11th. We sure had a great time and enjoyed seeing our family and friends there. I have to say Uncle Fernando and Felipe were great with the kiddos. They both came home for lunch everyday so they could see them! Many nights they put them to sleep. Abuelo and Abuela sure spoiled the grandkids! My dad will let them touch and explore everything in the house and outside, and Abuela didn't make it to her job the whole time we were there. While in Ecuador we went on many day trips with Abuelo, Abuela and the uncles. We had a wonderful time, and Robert and Matthew were so good to travel with. We sure miss them all!!
As soon as we got home we were happy to have Gammy come and see us!!! It was sure fun to have her here with us, only both kids got a cold and we had to take them to the doctor on Feb 19th. Matthew weighed 22 lbs, and Robert 20.4 lbs. The poor babies! Their noses were runny, and it was easy to see they did not feel good at all, but they were happy regardless of their colds. We felt horrible for them.
While Gammy was visiting us, we celebrated her birthday, we took my car to the fire station to get the big kid car seats installed (it was a major ordeal). The kiddos also turned 9 months!! We went to get some pictures taken, but before the pictures could be taken we took Matthew and Robert for their second hair cut... As you can all see we have been a little busy, but this kind of busy is good. We miss having Gammy here with us, and hopefully we will see her again soon!
Matthew and Robert crawled for the first time!! Matthew did it on the 15ht and Robert on the 16th! They are both doing a mix of tummy crawling, rolling, lifting their butts and throwing themselves forward... it is very funny, and they are so so fast!! If I am not careful they follow me in the kitchen or even to the main door. They sure love to explore.


De Regreso en casa!!

Ha sido definitivamente un año ocupado hasta ahora. Volvimos de Ecuador el 11 de febrero. Nosotros nos la pasamos muy bien y nos alegro mucho ver a nuestra familia y amigos. Tengo que decir que los tíos Fernando y Felipe se potaron de lo mejor con los peques. ¡Los dos iban a casa para almorzar a diario para poder ver a Matthew y Robert! Muchas noches ellos les pusieron a dormir. ¡Abuelo y Abuela seguro mimaron a los nietos! Mi pa les djaba a ellos tocar y explorar todo en casa y afuera, y Abuela no pudo ir a trabajor durante todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. Mientras estuvimos en Ecuador nos fuimos a muchos paseos con Abuelo, Abuela y los tios!! Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso y los extrañamos mucho a todos!!!. Robert y Matthew se comportaron muy bien durante el viaje, unos viajeros clase A.
Tan pronto como nosotros llegamos a casa Gammy nos vino a visitar!! Estuvimos muy felices de terla aqui con nosotros, lo triste es que los peques se resfriaron y nosotros tuvimos que llevarrlos al médico el 19 de febrero. Matthew pesó 22 lbs, y Robert 20,4 lbs. ¡Pobres bebés! Las naricitas las tenian congestionadas, y se vei aque no se sentian bien del todos, pero ellos fueron felices a pesar de estar resriados. Nos sentiamos muy mal por ellos.
Mientras Gammy nos visitaba, celebramos sus cumpleaños, nosotros tomamos mi auto a la estacion de bomberos para que instalen los asientos de carro grandes para niños. ¡Los peques cumplieron 9 meses!! Los llevamos a tomar unas fotos, pero antes de las fotos llevamos a Matthew y Robert a su segundo corte de pelo... Como ustedes pueden ver hemos estado un poco ocupados. ¡Matthew y Robert gatearon por primera vez!! ¡Matthew lo hizo en el 15 y Robert el 16 de febrero! ¡Los dos se mobilizan con una combinación de arrastrarse de barriguita, dandose vueltas, levantar su potito y se lanzan hacia adelate... es muy chistoso, y ellos son tan tan rápidos!! Si yo no soy cuidadosa que ellos me sigan a la cocina y hasta la puerta principal. A Robert y a Matthew les encanta explorar.

Christmas, First Hair Cuts and more...

A lot has happend since our last update... We had our babies' first Christmas, we stayed in Denver and uncle Daniel came to spend it with us, we were so happy to have him with us :0). The boys sure loved looking at the lights of our tree, Robert had fun opening presents, unfortunatley Matthew had a bit of a cranky morning and did not enjoyed it as much, so Robert opend his presents and most of Matthew's presents, later on when I was cleaning up Matthew seemed more interested so he was able to open his last present.
Robert finally said his first word on December 27th which was Daddy! Matthew also says Dadda! So as you can all imagine Josh is just a very happy Dad! Robert also started saying bottle in spanish on January 16th (teta) and he repeats this word the whole entire day, but no signs of him saying Mama anytime soon :0(.
On January 5th the boys had thier first hair cuts, my two babies look like little boys!
We are currently in Ecuador visiting my family, the trip was great both of the boys did wonderful, they did not cry at all. To be honest I was not worried about the trip until the morning of the 15th when I found myself alone with two babies walking towards our gate... lucky for me the trip was just fine ( my two little travelers are wonderful). Josh had a business trip the same morning so we went trhouhg security and took the train together but then we arrived to concurse A so we had to say good bye, it was sad to get off at our station and see him go in the train... we sure miss him! Robert ask about his Dadda every morning it is the cuttest thing, we keep on showing both of the boys a picture of him everyday.
We went on a little trip to the outskirts of the city on Sunday the 20th, the boys seemed to enjoyed it. They are getting ready to start swiming lessons sometime this week, I will keep you all posted.

Navidad, Año Nuevo y mas...

Mucho ha sucedido en nuestras vidas ultimamente... Los bebés tuvieron su primera Navidad, nos quedamos en Denver y el tío Daniel vino a pasar esta fecha con nosotros. (Nos encanto tenerlo con nosotros :0).) A Robert y a Matthew les encanto mirar las luces de nuestro árbol. Robert se divertió abriendo los regalos, desafortunadamente Matthew no lo gozó tanto. Así que Robert abrió sus regalos y la mayor de los de Matthew también. Más tarde, cuando limpiaba Matthew pareció más interesado asi que pudo abrir su último regalo. ¡Robert finalmente dijo su primera palabra el 27 de diciembre que fue Daddy!
¡Matthew también dice Dada! Así que como ustedes pueden imaginarse Josh es un Papá muy feliz. Robert empezó también a decir teta en español el 16 de enero y el repite esta palabra el día entero, él finalmente dijo Mamá el 23 de enero:).
¡El 5 de enero tuvieron sus primeros cortes de pelo, mis dos bebés parecen chicos pequeños! Estamos actualmente en Ecuador visitando a mi familia.
El viaje estuvo de lo mas tranquilo y sin ninguna novedad, Matthew y Robert se portaron de maravilla, ellos no lloraron para nada. Para ser honesta a mi no me preocupaba el viaje sino hasta la mañana del 15 cuando me encontré sola con dos bebés caminado hacia nuestra puerta... Afortunado tengo unos dos viajeros de lo mejor!. Josh tuvo un viaje de negocios la misma mañana asi que todos pasamos por seguridad del aeropuerto de Denver, y tomamos el tren juntos pero entonces llegamos a nuestra estacion, así que tuvimos que decir adiós. ¡Estuvo triste bajarnos en nuestra estación y ver que el tren se vaya con Josh... nosotros lo extranamos mucho! Robert pide su Dadá cada mañana es lo mas tierno.
Hicimos un paseo a Puembo, un pueblo pequeño en las afueras de la ciudad el domingo el 20; los peques gozaron.
Matthew y Robert empezaron clases de natación el 22, a los dos les encanta estar en la piscina, Robert quiere saltar en la piscina con sus ojos cerrados y una sonrisa grande, Matthew quiere relajarse y jugar con los juguetes.
